Having been born and raised in Thal at Lake Constance, I have returned to my home after several years.  Here I organize my photo archives, prepare calendars and book themes and plan new travel adventures.

It was probably my grandfather who infected me with the photography virus when he gave me a very old camera. I gained some photographic know-how while I was still working as a primary school teacher but later perfected it, particularly during a 17-month trip through South and North America.

In 1988, I began to offer my photos to book and calendar publishers in Germany and Switzerland.  My first efforts bore fruit and over the years my contacts in these circles broadened.  35 books and more than 200 authored calendars with my photos have been published todate.

In 2001, I decided to make my hobby my profession and I have since worked as freelance nature and travel photographer. My passions include spectacular landscapes which I seek on every continent. But I can also be found off the beaten path in many parts of Switzerland, where I capture the eclectic beauty of my homeland.
